A New SAL From By The Bay

I am participating in a SAL that Donna at By The Bay is doing, it is called Seasons.
I never have two projects going at once we will see how this works out for my nerves.
http://bythebayneedleart.blogspot.com
This is the first section, I love the looks of this so much, Donna is a very creative Lady she not only does cross stitch but other things, please check her out.

I did finish the Preserve Liberty I will post a photo soon.
It is coming the snow is we are supposed to get between 6&8 inch's, lucky for us we have a new big snowblower, the last one we gave to our young neighbors it was 15 years old, Mike did not want to sell it do to its age, we would feel bad if we took money and it broke down after they use it once or after this snow season is over next year.
We are taking our families out for Thanksgiving, this way we can all go home and take naps, no one stay for hours or goes home at midnight, plus no cooking,

Have a Beautiful
Thanksgiving

I Have Been Very Busy

Happy Thanksgiving To all who celebrate Turkey day.
I have been very busy I have been volunteering more of late, my number one place to volunteer is at Curch, I have taken on several duties along with Funeral Cahir with two other ladies, sewing of Creedence Table, Alter Cloths for side Alters, repair of Albs and  any other sewing that is needed.
I am also washing once a week the Purificator's and Corporals for the main Alter, I am also going to be color coordinating the Albs into sizes so the Alter service just need to look for the color marking in their size.
I have been stitching while getting ready for the Holidays, it seems the days are just melting away.
I stitched this cat from a SAL from http://stitchersvillage.com, I chose these colors because they made me smile, this will be a flatfold.

I also have been working on a started design from Chessie & Me, this was in the detash pile at Needlework Guild in August, I have this thug about finishing UFO's especially if they are givaway's, I di really like this design, I plan on having it framed soon, I do like Joann's coupons for framing.
This is Preserve Liberty

This is where it was when I found it in the de-stash pile, below is where I was last Monday, i will show a finished piece on my next post.

I did manage to get a couple of things constructed, One is from a blackbird designs class, I really like how the box came out.

This is a small round pillow I did not know what to do with, I went through my finished designs and found this one that was an exchange from Shelly who lives in New Zealand, way back in 2014, I love this sweet design and the finish, it will go in my wooden bowl with other smalls for Christmas.

I was able to order the Inspirations Book that is authored by Betsy Morgan, she is an amazing designer, Betsy said she will be retiring very soon.
This is a beautifully illustrated book, a bit spendy but well worth the money.

These are just a few of the beautiful designs in this book.

I hope you all are having a great week and getting stitching done for the Christmas Season.

I Am So Busy

Hello to all: It is fall here the colors are hanging on for a while longer then normal due to the cloudy skies and rain, which is okay with me.
I want to show you what the Lovely Marilyn sent me, I was so surprised to get this package it was unexpected.
I love the pin pillow, Marilyn you did a beautiful job of stitching and finishing, I will proudly use and brag about it at my next stitch-in, I love trims, I plan on using this trim on the design I am stitching of the owls.
Do you see the small foldable scissors, I love them, I am an avid reader she also sent along book markers, I usually have a few books going at a time they will be used.
Marily: From my heart thank-you.

I have done a bit of stitching, I finished my Noel from Lynn over at http://happinessiscrossstitching.blogspot.com  I love Lynn's Black cat series.
I finished this beauty on Sunday. So sorry about the wrinkles, i hope to have this framed this evening.

I started and its a little start on the pattern I won from her giveaway, I love owls, this design is adorable in my eyes.

I hope to have this finished by next Saturday, hopefully and have it framed to display in the kitchen.
I have been very busy helping to plan the fund raiser and brunch at Church, this is a fund raiser for the Stain glass windows we are putting in, we will be having some of the Beatitudes put in the Sanctuary and a very large Stain Glass I think Jesus Being Baptized.
We have been planning something and making items almost everyday, it is a lot of work for five people.
I have also been at planning meetings for the Christ Child Luncheon that is coming in December, we have had this event for 50 years, it takes three months of planning and doing.

I ask you to please pray for the people in California, the fires are horrible, it looks like hell here on earth, please pray no one gets hurt fighting the fires and no lives are lost.

Blessed Fall To Everyone

A Beautiful Package From Lynda Ruth And Some Stitching

Hello to all my faithful followers, I have not been very good about posting my goings on, however I have been having problems with commenting and posting, for some reason I can only comment to a few blogs then nothing.

I want to show you what the beautiful Lynda Ruth over athttp://twododo.blogspot.com sent me when I guessed the closet to her stash of patterns and magazines. I am very lucky.

I am totally loving my gifts, Lynda Ruth is a very generous Lady. I have to start the Snowman design soon.

I have many hand towels I want to stitch with flowers, these books are perfect, many designs to choose from.

I love the bird house notebook, and the grease board which is perfect for my sewing room.

I have to tell you I have wanted to buy a fruit knife since I had a friend use one, they are perfect for cutting fruit, I have used this one for my apple today, loom at the beautiful fall napkins perfect.

Many people would use the bags here for make-up, I am going to use them as thread bags for my projects.

This is a beautiful piece of fabric I am a sucker for fabric, the Aida will be used for a design I have in mind, I have it in my to do basket.

Another project bag my small Q-Snaps fits perfect in this bag, look at the great booklet for keeping  notes and dates.

I have never used one of these before, however I will, Mike and I take a 20 minute nap everyday, this will be perfect.

Do I really need to explain this, I love candy and candy loves me, I am chewing a Werther's as I type this post, yum.

Now this bag will be perfect when we take a road trip next year to Canada, I have Canada on my bucket list.

Lynda Ruth crocheted or knitted this lovely piece, it is perfect for my counter, I have my spoon jar resting on it, the large jar is the color of the brown in this piece, I love it.

I see that this butterfly booklet can be used for beading patterns which I will get to hopefully soon.

I did have a finish  finish, it is a design from Lynn over at  http://happinessiscrossstitching.blogspot.com I enjoyed doing this design, I hope you like the finish simple but perfect for me. We do not celebrate Halloween, however I do love this design, it is the only Halloween item in our home. I just love the Black Cats Lynn does.

I do have more to tell you about but will wait for the next post, thank-you for visiting.

My ISHW Progress

Jo over at: serendipitousstitching.blogspot.som  is the Hostess of the International Hermit Stitch Weekend, you stitch the third weekend of each month then go to Jo's site and click on the participation link.
I hope you join each month.
Jo has many beautiful designs going, you should stop by her Blog and say hello.

I did work on my Boo a design from Lynn over at: http://happinessiscrossstitching.blogspot.com
Lynn has many lovely free designs and some for purchase in her Etsy shop, another blog site I encourage you to check out and say hello, P.S. I have bought things from Lynn, she ships fast and does beautiful work on all her items.

Well here is my progress:   So sorry about the wrinkles, this one I am stitching while holding my hand, it is a small piece of fabric, not big enough for any of the stitching frames I have, the cats butt looks like a cup with a big handle, I hope to have this finished tomorrow evening, this will be finished into a flat-fold and given as a gift for the Bingo game next month at retreat.

I sent Gracie some beads for a project she is working on, I never pay full price for beads or gems of any kind, I use coupons, thrift stores and big discounts, that way I have lots to choose from when creating something and sharing.

Its kind of a mess this is the only messy part of my studio, I can close the door but know what is exactly where I want it, easy to find, the plastic box's I bought at Menards, they work perfectly for beading and floss cards, I keep my floss in box's just like this, they are cheaper then the ones at Joann's, Hobby Lobby and Crafts Direct.

This is Blondie The Cat, she gives me this look when she wants something like a treat, we cannot say treat anymore because she has figured that one out, plus I watch the crabbiest woman on TV every day her name is Judge Judy, she sure can be crabby, getting to the point I cannot say Judge Judy time because the cat and dog know that is their dinner time, it has become a time when we have to spell out treat when i or mike ask if they have had a treat yet they soon will figure that one out too I am sure.

I was asked at Church by Father Stueve if I would wash the towels, Purificators and Corporals, the linen that has cross's on them that are used during Communion, I am honored that I am trusted to do so, it is a process, the Purificators and Corporals need to soak for four hours then be washed alone dried and then ironed, I am so proud to be able to do this.

Well its time to make a Latte do some more blogging and surveys, I get points which I turn into Amazon money, I love doing them, I have done this for over ten years, some I qualify for some not.
I also do the national Consumer Panel, I get point for keeping track electronically, they give a scanner which you scan each item with, it is amazing how fast points add up.
If anyone is interested please send me an email, I will let you know how to get in touch with them and you can ask questions.
Thank-you to all who stop by, if you leave a comment on my blog I can then find your blogsite and leave comments.

Have a lovely week

A Little Surprise In The Mail And A Finish

Hello to you all: Thank-you for your comments and concerns, it has been a bad week but getting better.
I have been able to stitch some each day but find it hard when my nose runs, ewwwww.
I had a big surprise in the mail today,  Lynn over at  http://happinessiscrossstitching.blogspot.com
had a giveaway, I won, I did not expect to have the package arrive so soon, it came within a week.
Lynn is so very generous, this is what I won: A pattern by Madame Chantilly Summers Owls, it is so sweet, I will be stitching this as soon as possible, plus the  adorable charms.

She also sent the cutest buttons of owls, and  very sweet bag, if you ever get a chance she sells bags every so often, they are amazing, she does a beautiful job of mixing colors and patterns as you can see in the photo.

I had a new start, today it is a Boo pattern I bought from Stitching fairy which is her Etsy Shop, I need to bring three items for a dice game at retreat I wanted to make some fun items, this Boo design is adorable.
I did this on a gold color fabric, I hope to have it finished by Monday, depending on how I feel.
(so sorry about the photo)

I did finish my Shepherds Bush design, I will go to the framer next week, not sure who I will use just yet.

Thank-you for your comments, please stop by again.

Finally A Post

Please Note: I cannot access Debra's Bits and Pieces and Kearnel's Korner, I get a malicious page notice, not sure what is going on, does anyone else have this problem?

I am so sad I have not been able to comment and post about what I am up to, as many of you know I have had issues with my PC and IPAD, for some reason Google did not like my IPAD.
I have been in bed for the last week, I did not get my flu shot last winter, shame on me, I have been suffering with the flu and will not ever forget to get the shot again.
Well apart from being sick I did get some stitching done but only for short periods of time.

First I did stitch the SAL along with http://crocetteagogo.blogspot.com, I did the colors of threads a little different then hers, I hope you like it, I plan on turning this into a box top and giving as a gift.
So sorry about the bad photo.
If you can please stop over to her Blog she has a lovely fall design she is sharing.

I also have been working on a Shepherds Bush design I found for free at the Stash Relocation Pile at retreat in August.
I hope to be finished by Saturday and take to the framers, this is going to hang in honor of my Mother, she loved Angels Stars and the Moon.

I found in my mail box  my kit from Scattered Seeds Samplers, I love Tammy Blacks designs,  she has an automatic shipment four times a year, I want to start stitching this very soon.

Tammy includes everything to stitch this design, I love strawberries and this one has my heart💖

I have ordered two really sweet designs from http://happinessiscrossstitching.blogspot.com
Lynn is a very talented designer, you must stop by her blog and check out the designs she has done in the past and present, Lynn has a gift to match colors perfectly together.
I found out that I won her giveaway, she is very generous with her giveaways.
Lynn also has an Etsy shop she makes the prettiest bags, I am not sure she has any right now but please check her out.
I plan on doing these as stand-ups, they will be used for the dice game at retreat next month.

I just love these two designs, we need to bring anything handmade or related to stitching for the dice game, I am thinking maybe a nice pair of scissors and needles the third gift.
I am looking forward to this retreat, the ladies are a hoot and so sweet to be around.

It is raining and time to do maybe a little stitching.
Thank-you to al who follow me and leave comments, I look forward to reading them all.

ISHW A Late Post

Just a note: Debra Of Debra's Bits and Pieces and Kearnel's Korner I cannot access your blogs,  I get a page saying it is a bad site to visit.

Last weekend was the IHSW  ( International Hermit Stich Weekend) appears every month on the third weekend starting on Friday, Jo over at serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com is the hostess, look her up this is a way to let others that are not your followers see what you are up too, plus you get to see Jo's site, she is working on a Discworld Mappe which is amazing.

I have been to the Minnesota Needlework Guild Retreat the 5th -11th, I always have such a great time.
I took a class and will show you in my next post what I worked on and how much is done, plus the big mistake I made which is fixable.

So I finished stitching the Betsy Morgan class I took in Madison Wisconsin in July, I am so happy with this set, the fabric is a beautiful yellow and worked with black and gold silk threads.
I did change out the CAL and date for Save Our Bees, plus on the needle holder strip at the bottom I changed out three of the long arm over four stitch's, I just could not get them to look right or lay right.
I will need to get the set constructed now which I am way behind on my other construction of stitching I have done, I need to have just two or three days to get caught up on that.

So sorry about the shadows in the corners I had to take a photo outdoors and it was windy, this is the best I could do.

We have been busy with so many things around here I am doing so much in my sewing room and still do not see a light at the end of the tunnel, so many things need to be finished including stain glass and beading projects, Christmas will soon be here. Where did summer go? I am not sure.
Well I hope you all have a beautiful week and get lots of stitching done.
Thank-you for visiting and your comments.

Some Stitching Baking And A Retreat

Hello to all my dear followers, it is still busy here at home but getting things done.
I have been stitching my fingers off, I do love to stitch but first I want to show you something, A sweet Lady named Shirley whom volunteers at the food shelf as I do wanted me to post about the croutons I make.
It is a very simple recipe and well worth the time.

First I buy a loaf of garlic bread pull apart from Target, you may find it elsewhere, then I cut the pieces into small squares, some are a little off shape, then I put in a very large bowl pour a small amount of olive oil spices of my liking, I do not put in salt there is enough salt in the bread and garlic already, see photos on how to do this, it is like a great treat or great on salads.

Oh so good, Mike and I like them like a snack when we want a treat, I hope if you do this you also like them.

I was working on my class project from Madison and am almost finished with the box, I am loving this design, Betsy Morgan does such a beautiful job designing. The fabric is a bright yellow the camera will not pick that color up for some reason.

I will be taking that above project to Needlework guild this week, I will be gone from Monday to Sunday, Mike is having family come over for a little getaway, they do not have much money so this gives them a chance to see him and have a staycation.

I have been working on a class project from the guild retreat there is pre-stitching, I will post a photo later this week.
I promise to send out thank-you emails this week for the comments on my last post.
I hope you all are having a great week and do loads of stitching.

Hugs
Catherine
