Organizing my beads

I spent four hours organizing my beads and tools for beading I feel much better now.
I was at the point of pulling out my hair everytime I wanted to make a bracelet or earrings, I just had too much in too many places.
I feel like a new women only for a short time, when you get past the age of 50 new only last overnight.
I am in the process of making three scissor fobs, I will be mailing them out sometime next week. I donot know why the letters in this post decided to change they did this on their own.
I am on vacation this week but decided to put in some hours this week and maybe next week. ( I feel so wanted when I am called to work on my vacation).
It was storming today I only asked God for rain not tornados or high winds, I must not have made my request loud enough. Two semis were turned over on their sides do to the high winds.
I really need to sit down and do some stitching I need to
put a few stitches in on a project I am working on soo have a great evening.
Stay safe.

All my deals at the thrift shop.

Today is a good day to go to the thrift store and I made a stash haul. The sock ball is so nice I may have my niece paint on it. I fell in love with the mini basket.

Some of the things I was amazed someone else did not find before I did.
I really like trims, the ric rac is my favorite, I have a drawer full. The little cloths pins I am not suer what to do with them but I am sure I will find something. The silver buttons I want to make a scissors fob with, the pearl buttons will go on a pillow or christmas ornament, the red buttons will go on a spring orniment that I have had done for a long time. The Prairie Schooler oattern was a real surprise I have wanted this foe a long time, the foam pieces are a real bargain, this stuff is not cheap at the local craft store.
The mat cutter is something I really needed.

My New addition

Today I was able to pick up my picture that was stitched last winter, I am so slow to get the framing done, maybe because it is not cheap. This is the Cherry Heart from Shepherds Bush.

I really like the frame, my living room is french country, now I need to find a place on the wall. The colors are so soft and pretty. I used a 40% off coupon plus the flyer I get in the mail had an extra 20% off of any order.

Wish me luck.

Super Duper Sale

Today I was able to go to Stitchville U.S.A. clearence sale, boy did I make a haul for just 29.00 dollars.

I did have a 15.00 dollar punch card and was able to use that toward my haul. Total would have been 44.00 dollars Deb has a punch card for all your regular priced items, so I saved one of my punch cards for this sale.

I was able to find Blackbird patterns that are not in my collection, now they are.

Some of the things are from grab bags, the the large peach colored linen is a great buy, for only 5.25.

The things in the grab bags were all the small patterns and the Cricket Collection chart, all of the fabric except the peach 32 count fabric, were also in the grab bags ( I bought two grab bags), the project books were also a grab bag item, I am using a notebook now for my diary of stitches.

I am excited I will have a better way to keep track of the stitching I do in the future.

There wer about 15 more patterns included in the bags, I just will not have enough room to print the pictures.

The charts with the green stickers are the pattern that were only .50 the Little House Needleworks patterns are from the grab bags also.

Well I am going to have to go now I have to go to the meat market and buy bacon Mike wants B.L.Ts. for dinner.

We now have a balmy 87 degrees and very windy.

Peace to you all

Forgot to add pictures

Today I was able to figure out how to use my new camara that I have had for three months.
I am not the brightest bulb in the pack but I was able to find a way to download pictures, I do want to say I am sorry if they are not the best of quality.
Her goes.
I finished the Sweetheart Tree Potpourri Heart last winter and finally did the finishing into a basket top, I lined the inside with a Moda Blackbird fabric.
This is going to be a gift for someone special.
The Altoids tin is topped with a Shepherds Bush Liberty pattern.
I lined the inside bottom with a piece of vintage fabric and added a magnet to the top inside for the renegade needles that come loose from the fabric.
Tomorrow I will put together the Haiti pattern that I finished. This is the pattern from By The Bay Needleart that Donna Bayliss is selling on her web site.
It is starting to rain with warnings from the national weather service, it is really thundering now.
Gotta go.
God Bless America.

My New Stash

These are my new goodies, this morning I made a trip up to Crosby/Ironton and then down to Abbott Northwestern Hospital, after I dropped off my patient I was done for the day.

I have had two gift certificate that my super sweet husband gave me for christmas, they were burning a hole in my purse, I just needed to spend them.

The engagement calandar is so beautiful I just had to have it, the pictures are oh so lovely.

The scissors are adorable, I had seen a pair on Mama Joans blog and just had to have them, they were only 5.50, Deb at Stitchville had three on display: Pink, Blue and Green.

I picked strawberries last night and as big as I am the bugs almost carried me away, so when I spotted the Strawberry Hill by By The Bay Needleart I wanted it so bad it hurt.

The three buttons were a great find in the .50 each cup, arn't they cute!

The Honeysuckle Manor was a much wanted book, its is filled with lots of lovely projects.

The My Heart Is True was a book I have wanted since it came out in 2009, this book has lots of pretty things to stitch.

The fabric is for an exchange I am doing with the Blackbird Designs

narrated by Patti, she has taken over for Joanie, Joanie did a super great job coordinating the last four exchanges, thank-you Joanie.

Well I should go stitch now since I have a deadline for the exchange.

Peace to you all

God Bless America

A late picture

As you can see I have posted the picture of the Shepherds Bush Needleroll.

Way back in january I was working on this, I had decided to make a block to sit on my sofa table, as you can see I finished it into a needleroll.

I have a basket of needlerolls really I have two one is very large and the other basket is med sized.

The pattern showed a gold fabric, I decided on a purple because I do not have a color in either basket that really pops out, this color is doing the job.

Now I can finish my wip and on to a By The Bay Needleart pattern.

God Bless America

God Bless our Troops.

Shepherds Bush projects

Hello everyone: it is about time I post some of the things I kitted a very long time ago.

I am on a Shepherds Bush run and what a run it is, I did manage to finish four small projects this past week-end.

I was not feeling well due to the fact that my super wonderful husband shared his cold with me.

I have not had a cold flu or any illness for over seven years, he says it is the lucky number seven that did it to me not him.

I will post finished pictures later this week, I will show you the one complete finish I did do.

This is the Christmas Treat bag.

I did not have a complete kit because the leftovers was gifted to me by my good friend Susan Anderson.

I hope you like my finish.

Peace Be with you.

Blackbird Retreat

This is some of the things we did at the Blackbird Designs retreat in April put on by Stitchville USA.

We had so much fun with Deb and Deb these ladies really know how to host an event.

The mother of pearl thread keeper was one of the freebies for the week-end.

Alma and Barb are a real treat to meet.

They came with many and I mean many ideas to use their patterns on and in.

We were able to sand stain and wax a sectioned box and fill it with goodies. The Tulip House was oneof the patterns we recieved along with the threads and material to finish the projects you see. The boxes are available through Hobby Lobby.

We stitched a pin keeper pictures of both the box and the pin keeper are posted.

If you can please take a class with Barb and Alma, they were just a hoot.

There were about 32 ladies and what a great group of ladies they were, so full of ideas and fun some came from Ill. Iowa Wisc. and as far away as Maine.

I look forward to another retreat with Stitchville USA.

Thank-you to both Debs.

Today I decided to just take a little stroll on Ebay, well I do not think what I did today is really a stroll, I am working at home today and since it is my computer I can stroll on Ebay all I want, well I did happen to find a pattern I really like, I am going to win this I hope, it is the Spring Cove by By The Bay Needleart, Donna Bayliss.
Well I just had to go to her web site and lo and behold I found a treasure trove of goodies, where have I been, she has numerous free patterns on her web site, www.bythebayneedleart.com
You have to go there, she is truely a delight, I am now hooked on her patterns, oh no there goes my Starbucks money I'll just have to spend it on By The Bay patterns.
She is so talented and wow I can hardley wait to start the new pattern that is if I win.
Have a safe day the sun just came out and it finnally stopped snowing, our young neighbors went on a cruise and came home last night to this weather as I type this Travis is snowplowing our driveway what a great exchange for feeding his cats and bird.

A new Halloween WIP

Today I needed a rest from Earthdancer, she is haunting me and mocking me so I put her aside, still she beckons me to finish her.

She says the framer is waiting, well the framer can wait.

I started this today and hope to have it finished by this evening.

This is a Shepherds Bush pattern for a needleroll but I will be making a block to sit on my sofa table at halloween.

I picked the purple because I do not have much of the color purple with my halloween decorations.

I am almost finished with Franenstein, he is so cute, the witch is so hard to see I think she will do fine.

Today the temp did not reach 20 above, I am just snuggled in, Mike went to Mass tonight because he bought me a t.v. for my birthday and Direct T.V. is coming tomorrow to hook everything up when I am at church, tomorrow is donut sunday I can catch up with the local news, you know are there any new baby's or who is moving out of town, the usual stuff.

Keep warm and please pray for the people in Haiti.

Stay Safe

Today I have the day off due to the fact no cardioligist are not going out to greater Minnesota.

So I decided to take a real good look at the largest stitch project I have ever taken on.

I really like this pattern, the only problem I have is the beading, boy you really need to be careful or the beads start to turn sidways.

I am considering taking off the bead and go with cross stitches.

I am pulling my hair out.

I did manage to finish another project, I made a roman shade for the large window in the family room, what a job that was.

It is now snowing and the winds are about 23 miles per hour, my husband is in Iowa and it is worse there. stay warm my honey bunny,

KQRS is on and playing Aerosmith I really like this band.

The dog and cat are sleeping together, this is not the norm.

They hate each other, since peanut has become sick (Lymes disease) she only has a small window of time left, we will not get another dog it is just too hard to know that you lose a member of the family even if it is a dog its your child.

Verne the cat is so much loving to her, it is very touching.

I think I will go on a weather man hunt and ask if he needs a lesson in giving the correct weather report, yesterday he said that the sun will peek out, well we are waiting.

If you are not a fan of The Twisted Stitcher please look her up she is so funny and full of info.

Stay Safe and warm.

Halloween finish finally.

Well as you can see I finnally finished this oh so cute picture. I suppose you can say I am either late or way too early for halloween.

I really like this pattern Jungles and Jack are maybe the very best of friends.

I did change some of the colors, my mistake, I should have gone with the colors suggested.

This chart is a Becky Boo's, a easy pattern to read. I am working on another halloween pattern from a very old magazine.

I went through some of my old old magazines and found all kinds of great patterns.

Oh gosh my tummy is calling for food I have to go eat.

Finished my exchange

I finally finished my project for my exchange partner I do hope she likes it.

Now I must tell you that I am not the best at finishing.

I did a small box, on the inside and outside I copied two squares of Moda Blackbird Designs Beach House fabric on my copier, I then glued the copied paper inside and outside, I had a little fabric leftover from another project but not enough to do the box so I had to copy.

I made an ort box (round) and affixed the stitched piece on top.

I also did a (round box) with a magnet on the inside for needles, I also did a scissors fob.

I did change the Noel on top of the box to the word needle. These patterns are from the Joyoux Noel booklet, I am now trying to decide which pattern will be my next project from the booklet ( Joyoux Noel booklet).

I am sending my package off tomorrow.

For my exchange partner almost finished

I am almost finished with my exchange partners item, I am putting this together this evening.

I am doing a box top with the bird needle pattern and the three little flower pots will be a needle case , a scissors fob and an ort box, I put the quarter on the fabric to show how small the flower pots are.

These patterns are from the Blackbird Joyeux Noel Book. This book offer sixteen patterns all so beautiful.

If you do not own this book it is well worth the money.

Barb and Alma are so talented and offer such refreshing patterns, in cross stitch and quilting.

Now its time to go too work.

I will post the finished work tonight or tomorrow.

Stay Safe.

Holiday Season

Today I spent a great lunch with my mother and sister-in-law.
We went to Emma Krumbee's for brunch yum.
It is my mothers birthday and she is 79 years young.
The food was wonderful but of course we went shopping after for a mattress for mom, she has been sleeping on a mattress with a large sink hole, I do not know how she gets out.
Of course she tried to fight us a little, she finally picked out a pink memory foam mattress.
We had to spend Christmas on sunday because the weather was so bad on Christmas Eve.
I was so lucky I got beautiful jammies from my sister-in-law black with white flowers. I think they look like an evening outfit I can wear the top over my suit coat for work.
my mother gave me beautiful Sweater set from QVC. My Nephew and his family gave me a Fish Lite for my bathroom, my husband gave me two 75.00 gift certificates for my favorite cross stitch shop, Stitchville U.S.A. in Minnetonka, Minn.
I am currently working on an exchange for the Blackbird exchange, this is my third exchange and hope to finish today and send off tomorrow.
I am also working on The Butternut Road Earthdancer By Marilyn Leavitt-Inblum.
I will post a picture when my Officejet comes back from the doctor, then I can download pictures again.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Yeart to you and your Family.

Halloween Scared Silly

I started this in June and kept putting it aside, well I finished it in Nov. This cat is just hilarious. I am going to have it framed after Christmas. This is a Birds of A Feather pattern called Scared Silly. I used the weeks Dye Works threads, on the pattern it has a guide for DMC threads. I do not know why the color of the fabric is so light, on this picture in person it is very rich I used the Linen 32 count Sparrow and it is much prettier. Please stay safe.
Happy Holidays.

I am not a good blogger

Okay so I am not a great blogger and am a self taught computer user, I am still trying to download a picture so please be patient with me.
I sent my Blackbird Designs exchange off at the end of May and have not heard if the person has recieved it. I would like to post a picture but am still having problems.
I joined the second exchange and hope I get a partner as nice as Lane my last exchange partner, she made me such a pretty picture, the stitches were so lovely.
Thank-you Jane.
Well it is raining here in Annandale Minn. and poor peanut the dog cannot go out and play, so she is bugging Verne the cat.
I am working on a biscournu pattern and hope to have it finished by tuesday.
I will start my Blackbird Designs exchange project, wish me luck.
Have a good day everyone and remember that God watches us every moment of everyday.
