Some Stitching And Lots Of Snow

Thank-you to all my followers who leave lovely comments, I am so sorry I have not sent thank-you emails, I have been very busy.

April 1st  is suppose to be spring like it is not, we had lots of bad weather,  we have in the past three days had thunder, lightning very high winds and lots of snow, I am so tired and over winter.

Her are a few photos of the snow Mike had to remove ( I feel so bad for him in his pain) moving snow.

This was a free chart I recieved from Pamela Kellogg, I love the colors, I want to stitch an ornament or                                          two a month, I need to add to my collection of ornaments

It is stitched on 28 count unknown linen using all DMC threads

I started working on Blackbird Designs Swan Lake it is number seven of the Anniversary of the heart                           series, I am using another unknown fabric with DMC called for threads

I will be changing the color of the house, not sure what color I will use just yet on the Valentine Rose                                                                                    design

I will also change the color of the house on Elizabeth Jane, I have to go through my stash to see if I have                                                              the other designs in this series

Up next is Strawberry faire, I did this as a stitch along with Helen D on Flosstube, I did change some of the thread colors, i want to use up many of the leftover threads from past projects, it is a mix of DMC                                                              and Weeks Dye Works Threads

October House has a new design out to be a companion with this one

I have been very busy with stitching for Church's again, I have large Alter cloth I made but forgot to take a photo, I have to tweak it a bit today which I will do at Church before Mass this evening, I will get a                                                       photo then and share on my next post
Please Pray for all the people devastated in the storms and tornados down south, I emailed Lynda Ruth                                    last week, please Pray for her healing, she said she will post soon

                                                              Happy Blessed Spring

Happy Soon To Be Spring (I hope)

Greetings to all the beautiful people in Blogland: Thank-you from my heart for hanging in there with me and all the health problems Mike is having and your Prayers and well wish's.

It has been a harsh winter here in our front yard we have three feet of snow, I hope and pray it does not all melt at the same time.

I have been working on fliers for our Church women's group for our Spring Luncheon, I have been stitching on hand towels for drawings, many of the women bring something they have made for the drawings, there is usually 350 people who come to the Spring Luncheon, for a small town that is a load of people. I would like to do eleven more before next Friday.

I have also been working on Strawberry Faire with Helen D she is on YouTube/Floss tube, I bought the pattern and fabric from Cobweb corner, both ladies are wonderful to watch.
I have been using leftover silk threads from past projects, the colors are not the same but close (so sorry about the wrinkles) Mike is resting in the recliner, I do not want to bother him to get the iron.

I finished the Mill Hill Santa I just need to glue and back him, I did change a few colors I wanted a bit more blue in his hat

I did mount the By The Bay
, I love this Santa, he is so sweet.

I also worked on constructing the exclusive design from Traditional stitches a Jeanette Douglas design, I just need to construct the barrel.

I have been looking for a good clear glue, I found it in the scrap booking section, it is amazing, you only need to use a little bit and it sticks, someone else told me about this stuff, I love it.

Well, its Thursday afternoon take the dogs out make a latte, relax and do some stitching, I hope all that are in the path of the bad weather in the south and southeast do not have tornados or heavy rains, please stay safe.

Valentine Stitching

Hello my dear friends: I have been working on a Valentine Design, it is from Stitching Fairy on Etsy.

I am using a UFO fabric 28 count I want to make a pillow it will be 10x6 inches, I hope to finish it this    weekend.

Not much else is happening but I am commissioned to do some sewing for another Church, I will be making two Burse and two Palls, these will be a bit more elaborate. I am also doing an Alter Cloth with the Chio Rho's in the four corners.

Thank-you for your Prayers and comments about Mike, he sends hugs your way.

I am off to clean and wash floors, I hate doing floors, I would rather iron and clean toilets.

Have a stitch filled weekend

Finally A Post

Hello to all my beautiful followers, it has been a very busy January and February, Michaels surgery last week went well he is home and relaxing.

This is an exclusive from Traditional Stitches, it is a Jeannette Douglas that was slated to be released in 2020 for Traditional Stitches 20th year anniversary, it is so much prettier in person, there may be time to get the pattern and fabric if you check it out soon.

I really like this design I will be constructing it maybe tomorrow

This is the backing fabric I will be using for the Liz Mathews class I took with Stitchville USA in 2020
I have finished constructing the pin pillow but want to show the set all at once

This is a design from Tiger Lily on YouTube, you really should visit her, she is a hoot with loads of          energy, this is a free pattern for the asking, I hope you visit her, I will be done stitching Mrs. Santa today

And here is Mr. Santa all stitched, I hope to construct them both today

I bought this from Stitching Fairy on Etsy, she is the designer with the adorable black cat designs on her blog site and on Etsy, I hope to start this one today after finishing the stitching on Mrs. Santa, I am not                           sure which fabric or thread colors I will use maybe a mix of pinks and reds

I finished this design, which is a freebie from Brick City Cross Stitch, they may still have the pattern, this design was gifted to me by one of the Partners In Crime Chris

https://needleandthread.blogspot.com please visit Cathy at this site she is the other half of Partners                  In Crime, they are both a hoot Cathy post her stitching and she is amazing on finishing

I plan on constructing this today an easy and fast finish, I did cut the fabric too small but have an idea                                                                                 for  the seam

This is the design from Just Another Button Company Just Desserts club, I have not started any of the                                     three I have so far, I hope to start them soon, I find them adorable

I started following  HelenD on YouTube, she has a great video, I like her style, this is a SAL                 at your leisure, I bought the pattern from Cobweb Corner recommend by (HelenD) she also has a                               YouTube site, I am not sure what fabric I will use but have an idea it is so pretty

These I have added to my baskets of things I want to stitch; I am not going to do the Christmas Promises on white fabric maybe a cream color the white is just too stark for my liking, this was a freebie from                                                                   stash relocation at Guild retreat

I love these beaded kits so much I give them for gifts but now want to do a small tree for the bedroom of nothing but beaded Santas, this was a freebie from stash relocation at Guild Retreat last year

This is such a pretty design I would like to follow as other stitchers are doing and do a Christmas design a month, I am so behind in my Christmas stitching that maybe doing one a month will help me get                                                                                     caught up

Well it is dark hundred the dogs have been walked breakfast has been eaten and now for some stitching                                             on Mrs. Santa, I wish you all a very stitched filled day

It Has Been A While

Thank-you to all who commented on my last post, it has been very busy, I am so sorry I did not send individual thank-You's, with Mikes appointments it has been an ongoing busy trying month.

Anyhoo, I want to tell you about a new to Blogland Blogger her name is Toki you can find her at: https://watashigameganewokakerutoki.blogspot.com Toki lives in Japan does jewelry making, she has some amazing rings she posted about last week, please visit her.

I have been busy trying to do some finishing, I did complete the stitching and construction on my Hares                                          Christmas, I did a flat fold, I wanted a stand up instead.

I stitched this on 26 count unknown fabric, I pick up fabric 36 count Edinburgh at stash relocation at                                                                             retreat last August

Then I worked on some towels for Christmas presents, my sister-in-law has a chicken theme going, they were easy I bought fat quarters and already made towels sewed the fabric onto the towels, of course I made some for myself

I also worked on my felt table place mat, I really like this design I bought from Northern Lites Quilt                                               shop, I do need to add the tendrils to the pumpkin tops

I also did some stitching on a free design from:  Brick City Cross Stitch  I did call their number it seems  they are still in business this is a Raise The Roof design, it can be shared as to the note on the bottom, if you would like one I will gladly send you one, however here in Minnesota we are very short of postal         workers and do not get mail every day or sent out every day many of my friends are now getting their                                                                          Christmas cards

There is a load of red in this design, it is an unknown UFO fabric 32 count

I did finish stitching my Plum Street Cow Pile, when I was stitching it I was not a big fan, now I love it                                                  to pieces I used an unknown UFO fabric 32 count

This was a free design from Donna Bayliss at By The Bay Designs, she sent it with a design I ordered which I have stitched and will construct this week, it will be another stand up for an easel, the leaf will be a scissor fob for my sewing scissors, again UFO fabric 36 count

Today the sun is shing the weather is almost 40 degrees for Minnesota that is a warm January in this neck of the woods, I am going to take the dogs (one at a time) for a walk, if I do both they get tangled and almost pull me down, I need to get out and not just to push snow or go shopping, however I do like                                                           to go to Mass daily and on Sundays
I hope to visit many of you this week and comment, I hope to see lots of stitching and hear how things                                                                           are going for you all

                                                                                Blessings
                                                                                Catherine
