Greetings to all my faithful followers, thank-you for hanging in there, it has been a real roller coaster ride here at Laurent Chateau.
First about stitching, I have done some stitching and finishing, first up is: A stitch along with Teresa Koguts Patreon, it is a nine month stitch along, it started in April with the Declaration Of Independence,
I am stitching on July now, I am way behind and hope to catch up by the end of September, Teresa sends out the pattern the first of the month, which should give me enough time to stitch.

This is a set from Pam Reed from Olde Colonial Designs, I am missing one piece and hope to find that someday soon and stitch it, I wanted to try my hand at a jewelry box finish, I think its not too bad, maybe my next one will be better

I was able to go to Minnesota Needlework Guild Retreat this year, it was a blast, I do wish I could show you photos but cannot find them, the venue was amazing it was at the Royal Crown Plaza in Plymouth Minnesota.
the class I too was a silk ribbon class, it was not as easy as I thought it would be, but as I stitch each design I feel I am getting better, I cannot show you a photo because they are hiding, I will have to find them in Google, This is the teachers finish

It has been very busy here with an ill husband who was diagnosed with skin cancer, a Mikes sister and brother-in-law who are ill, the new siding on our home, the gardening and all the things I am doing to keep going when Mike does not feel well, I am lucky to get in stitching when i can.
My family comes first.
I will try and post a progress post by Friday with my stitching

Positive blessings for your Hubby and others who have been unwell. Your stitching looks amazing, those photos will appear when you're not looking for them, things always do.
I hope your husband and family members are improving and will will soon be feeling better. Be sure to take care of yourself.

I'm sorry that your husband is dealing with so much - hopefully it was caught in time and the prognosis is good. Take care of him - and you.
I love that box project you're working on and now I really want to find a nice box and see what I can do with it. I have lots of aida cloth languishing in my stash that needs to be used up so maybe a box would be ideal. Hmmm.....
Oh, you have a lot on your plate right now, Catherine. I do hope your husband's skin cancer can be managed quickly and he'll have a full recovery. Beautiful stitching and that Pam Reed set is gorgeous. I'm glad you were able to attend the Minnesota gathering--sounds like fun. Take care now! ♥
I am sorry to hear about your husband. I love seeing all of your beautiful projects.
Your projects are always wonderful and intricate. Beautiful! Sorry about the illnesses. It seems every day since we became over 70 someone we know has an affliction. My hub's skin cancer removal is healing nicely, not a dangerous type. His friend had a huge area of his calf removed because of the type of melanoma, grafts and surgeries healed very well but took some time. He declined the immunotherapy and is now clear. Wishing you and Mike a comfortable and safe Fall.
Often times stitching keeps us sane during trying times. I hope Mike's skin cancer is easily treatable. Keeping you, Mike and his family in my prayers. Hugs.

I am so very sorry to hear about Mike's diagnosis. If it is not being to nosey, what will they do for him to get him better?
Sounds like you have a full plate in front of you. Just take things one at a time so you are not overdoing it.
Oh my, I LOVE the little jewelry box. You are a such a good stitcher.
Anyways, I have been absent for a while also but I think I may start back up. It is like Blog Land keeps whispering in my ear... post, post, post! I don't think it will be weekly but I will have to see how I feel. I got a little discouraged since it seems nobody is really out there anymore.
I will say a prayer for You and Mike and the rest of your family too.
