Hello to all my faithful followers, thank-you from my heart for your kind comments on my last post
It has been very busy here in our little part of the world. Gardening has taken up a lot of my time, which I love
I have stitched a bit and hope to do more in the coming weeks
I am reading lots and lots, I just read two great books by Victor SE Moubarak, he is an amazing writer, writes books that can be read in a day or two. Man and God makes you think really think about your relationship with God, amazing book, the other book is an ongoing series about Father Ignatius, a Priest that seems to be in the thick of things some good and some bad, they are very enjoyable books to read, I bought mine on Amazon. This is Mr. Moubarak's blogspot is https://timeforreflections.blogspot.com blogspot: Daily almost daily he posts some very interesting and thoughtful posts, please give him a visit
So I have finished the barrel from the class I took with Teresa Kogut in Blue Earth Minnesot, Welcome Stitchery put on the class, it was a blast.
I was able to construct it last Saturday, I love the fabric which is 40 count, I found it easy to use a magnifier to stitch it
I decided to make this one a drum a tall skinny drum, I like the Scarlett House designs, I am not great at making drums just yet but each one is getting better
I also finished a very lovely bag that Toki sent me from Japan, I love this bag, it will hold some of my favorite stitching tools
This was so muc fun to stitch, I love all the different stitches used, thank-you from my heart Toki
I am starting to stitch Jolly Buttons a Christmas design by, Running with Needles and Scissors, I am having problems uploading the photo will have to post again after I figure out why I cannot upload the photo of the Jolly Buttons, by then I will have some stitching done on it.
We had hail last week, not real big but bigger then the last hailstorm, I am sure we need a new roof, the insurence company will not like us, last year we had to have some siding replaced due to hail, they even raised our rates 1000.00 dollars a year
I hope you all are well and enjoying your stitching
❤️Catherine❤️

I really like your drums. I have only made one for Christmas and it is one of my favorite things. I really must do more. You have encouraged me.

Love all your drums...they are a challenge to me, so I try to avoid them, but yours look great. That is some BIG hail!!!
Three beautiful drums, Catherine--I love them all! I have never tried making one--just can't get my courage up :) Ouch! That hail looks huge and like it would really hurt if you got caught outside. Hope your July is off to a wonderful start! ♥
I really like the little bag from Toki! Those little ladies are so much fun to stitch.
Thank you for mentioning the books and blog of Victor SE Moubarak. I have several of his books on my wishlist now and have begun following his blog. Your timing for this was so perfect for me. And I am another admirer of your drums
Your drums are great Catherine. That Kogut is fabulous! Glad you had a good time. Never thought to do my 1776 in a drum finish, it looks cool!!
Hi Catherine. A lot of lovely pillows are being completed one after another.
How many pillows do you own?
Thank you for completing the kit sent. It's very cute.😆
Loved seeing your finishes. Wish I had the courage to try making a drum. I stitched one of the Tiny Towns and had a finisher make it into a drum for me.
