A Little Stitching & Some Finishing

First I want to thank-you all for your lovely comments, it touch's my heart that your words are so kind.

I would send out individual thank-you but have been very busy with family and Mike's health.

What am I stitching now, a sweet design from With Thy Needle and Thread, Brenda is one of my favorite designers.

This is PA Dutch Tomato Pinkeep, I stitched it on 36 count Vintage Country Mocha the called for fabric and the number 22 DMC floss, I did run out of 22 and am waiting for the skein to come in the mail tomorrow, I hope, Welcome Stitchery in Blue Earth Minnesota is really quick to send out what ever I buy from them.

So sorry about the wrinkles, I do not like ironing more then once when there is stitching on the fabric, I hope to finish stitching and construct by Wednesday or Thursday this week

I have a very large collection of Santas some are ornaments some are figures I put around the home at Christmas, they do spend time on shelves in my sewing room the rest of the year

I really like the face on this Santa, he is so cute, with a glass bead red nose and pom pom on his hat, I stitched him 28 count blue unknown fabric with DMC threads

I did construct the Winter Wonderland free design from Primrose Cottage, I also bought the finishing kit for this pillow, I was going to do a roller pin finish but decided on the pillow instead
I stitched this on on 32 count unknown fabric with the called for threads

I added the snowflake from my stash

I stitched this Liberty from https://samplersandsantas.blogspot.com, Marly has some lovely free designs, some that I will surely stitch in the future, I stitched this one last August 2024, finally constructed it finally, I do not remember the fabric count, I did use DMC floss

I also finished constructing the Give Thanks free design from Primrose Cottage
I love the finish, I use my own fabric. choice, so sorry about the wrinkles, my puppy got a hold of it lucky I was able to get it from her, before too much damage was done, I stitched this on 32 count unknown fabric, I did use the called for DMC threads

I love this pillow, Primrose Cottage has so many seasonal free designs, they do not keep designs on their site very long

I I bought this design when I was at Welcome Stitchery's Retreat this past spring, Plum Street Jacks Sweet Shopthe owner is a hoot as well as her staff, I had to buy the tin on Amazon, I stitched it on the called for fabric and the threads

I do not have many fall decorations other than pumpkins and some fall artificial leaves, I am growing the fall decorations this year

I did belong to the Desert Club from Just Another Button Company, but decided to stop, I have enough to do with other projects and stitching
I finished this on Friday, it was a rather confusing set of direction, I did my own thing and got it done
This is the It's A Party Pincushion

The Macrons are a hoot, I love that they look like candies instead of the Macaroons

I do have a couple or maybe three more Just Another Button Company kits to construct but will take time later this fall to do them

Well I think that is enough for now I do have some other finish's but will keep for my next post
Please Pray for the lost live at Assumption Church  in Minneapolis, that is one of the two Catholic Church's in my neighborhood where I grew up, it saddens me that someone will just throw away their life with all the hatred they have, the survivors need our Prayers also, there are many who are still recovering

WE have been busy with many things around our home, Mike is having a tougher time with his neuropathy pain in his feet and hands, someday he will have no feeling in both,
please Pray for him

Happy Stitching
Catherine

You have been busy stitching and finishing. I always love to see what everyone is up to. That cake thing must have been very hard.
I know it is so sad. Heartbreaking in fact.
Praying for them.
Thinking of you and Mike too. Jeff's Parkinson's has taught me so much about the difficulties of life. Between him and caring for Mom it is a lot I admit. I don't know how people get through without our Heavenly Father.

Wow! You have finished many of your stitched projects. It must feel good to have them all totally finished. The new project is coming along nicely.

How sweet is that cake! I have a similar Sweet Shop tart project to do and the PA Dutch Tomato is ready to go. It doesn't look like a lot of stitching in that drum but there is more than I thought! Sorry that Mike is having to deal with the neuropathy. My friend has had EIGHT surgeries to replace circulation with artificial arteries from ankle to groin. She had bypass several times before that. Long recovery, I don't think she can have any more.

So many varied and pretty projects, Catherine! I have stitched that Santa mitten and it is one of my favorite ornaments. Neuropathy is such a difficult thing to deal with. My husband has it in his feet, too, but it sounds things aren't as bad as Mike's case. He's tried everything from acupuncture to electric stimulation, but nothing has helped. He's okay unless he has to stand for any length of time. It seems like it's always something as we age... Take care now--my heart goes out to you and your fellow Minnesotans. I was in tears as I watched the news coverage of that horrific shooting.
