Greetings to all mt faithful followers, thank-you from my heart for all your comments on my last few posts. I am so sorry I have not sent out thank-you emails, it has been the busiest summer since I retired in 2015.
I have done some stitching, not much smaller items, there is one that I have to construct the wood that the pieces will go on, I plan on doing that today after dinner.
I have stitched two other pin cushions from Victoria Sampler, this one is so sweet, I stitched it on 28 count unknown fabric with DMC threads, I did not have the Kreinik or Needlepoint threads, I converted the colors to my liking.
I had fun stitching this set
I will construct this sometime this week
These are design from Samplings From Blue Ribbon designs, this is a complimentary design, I am not sure of the fabric but the count is 28 count, https://blueribbondesigns.blogspot.com please have a look at her page, she has so many lovely items sells patterns for making project bags table runners and other quilt items, she has some free cross stitch designs
I had started this design in 2006, I somehow left it in the magazine and put it back on the shelf, shame on me
This is such a sweet design, I love and feed the hummingbirds in our garden
I plan on using this (if) it works out as an insert to a leather purse, I will keep you posted on that, I did not add Hummingbird words just a bare branch
My very dear friend Sandys Mothers last name was Jolly, I just had to stitch this for her, I was able to buy the scabble board holders on Amazon, when I am finished staining or painting the boards I will post a photo
The designer is Running With Needles and Scissors
I stitched them on 36 count unknown, as many of you know from my previous postings, I get loads of fabric from the stash reallocation tables, many fabrics do not have the designer of the fabric on them, I plan on doing a few more of these Jolly's for gifts for other people in my family, I used a DMC red 304
I wanted to stitch a mitten, Stasi over at: https://beemusedandbeestitching.blogspot.com has stitched many mittens and the are so cute, please visit her someday soon
I just had to do him on a blue fabric, I did not have any black, I will add the red nose button and the bell later
When I was in Blue Earth Minnesota for the Welcome Stitchery retreat I bought The Birthday Tart design, I do not have many stitched items for fall, this one caught my eye the tins I bought on Etsy, again I used an unknown fabric but did do it on 35 count with the called for threads
It really is prettier in person
Well that's it for now, I am working on Blackbird Patriotic design now just started will post about that soon, I hope all is well with you all and you are stitching loads.
Remember an idle needle does rust

Catherine...you have been a busy bee! Love all your finishes, especially the VS one. And thanks for the shout out...your mitten is adorable!!!
You always find the sweetest little projects to work on.
You have been busy. I love them all. It is funny how something so simple as those letters with the Santa can turn out to be stunning.
I always enjoy seeing a new post from you, Catherine--you always have such interesting and varied projects in the works! Love the bee set and the sweet hummingbird. I like it better without the word, too. That Jolly Santa set is darling and they will make great gifts. I've stitched that same mitten on black and used a red puffy button for his nose. It's so cute! Hope your August continues to be a good and productive month for you--happy stitching! ♥
Oh those mittens are so cute!! Looks like a lot of stitching happening. Hope you're both doing well.
