I have been busy

Greetings to all mt faithful followers, thank-you from my heart for all your comments on my last few posts. I am so sorry I have not sent out thank-you emails, it has been the busiest summer since I retired in 2015.

I have done some stitching, not much smaller items, there is one that I have to construct the wood that the pieces will go on, I plan on doing that today after dinner.

I have stitched two other pin cushions from Victoria Sampler, this one is so sweet, I stitched it on 28 count unknown fabric with DMC threads, I did not have the Kreinik or Needlepoint threads, I converted the colors to my liking.

Not sure why thew upper photo is sideways, so sorry
I had fun stitching this set
I will construct this sometime this week

This Magazine from 2006 has a couple of items I plan on stitching

I had started this design in 2006, I somehow left it in the magazine and put it back on the shelf, shame on me

This is such a sweet design, I love and feed the hummingbirds in our garden
I plan on using this (if) it works out as an insert to a leather purse, I will keep you posted on that, I did not add Hummingbird words just a bare branch

My very dear friend Sandys Mothers last name was Jolly, I just had to stitch this for her, I was able to buy the scabble board holders on Amazon, when I am finished staining or painting the boards I will post a photo

The designer is Running With Needles and Scissors
I stitched them on 36 count unknown, as many of you know from my previous postings, I get loads of fabric from the stash reallocation tables, many fabrics do not have the designer of the fabric on them, I plan on doing a few more of these Jolly's for gifts for other people in my family, I used a DMC red 304

I wanted to stitch a mitten, Stasi over at: https://beemusedandbeestitching.blogspot.com has stitched many mittens and the are so cute, please visit her someday soon

I just had to do him on a blue fabric, I did not have any black, I will add the red nose button and the bell later

When I was in Blue Earth Minnesota for the Welcome Stitchery retreat I bought The Birthday Tart design, I do not have many stitched items for fall, this one caught my eye the tins I bought on Etsy, again I used an unknown fabric  but did do it on 35 count with the called for threads

It really is prettier in person

These are design from Samplings From Blue Ribbon designs, this is a complimentary design, I am not sure of the fabric but the count is 28 count, https://blueribbondesigns.blogspot.com please have a look at her page, she has so many lovely items sells patterns for making project bags table runners and other quilt items, she has some free cross stitch designs

Well that's it for now, I am working on  Blackbird Patriotic design now just started will post about that soon, I hope all is well with you all and you are stitching loads.

Thread Conversion Charts For free

Greetings and happy stitching my dear friends: I opened an email from Luminous Fiber Arts newsletter, Misty is coming out with some new designs and wants feedback on what people would like in a Mystery Box, me I would like to see small Samplers, she also has in her newsletter a free printable thread conversion charts for Weeks, Colorworks and Gentle Arts, just what I need when I do not have the right specialty threads. I think the only way to get the charts is to sign up for the newsletter, I could not find it on her website.

I will be posting in the next couple od days what I am working on for a Christmas gift to one of my dear friends.

Stay safe and stitch away.

I Have Been A Little Busy Stitching

Hello to all my faithful followers, thank-you from my heart for your kind comments on my last post

It has been very busy here in our little part of the world. Gardening has taken up a lot of my time, which I love

I have stitched a bit and hope to do more in the coming weeks

I am reading lots and lots, I just read two great books by Victor SE Moubarak, he is an amazing writer, writes books that can be read in a day or two. Man and God makes you think really think about your relationship with God, amazing book, the other book is an ongoing series about Father Ignatius, a Priest that seems to be in the thick of things some good and some bad, they are very enjoyable books to read, I bought mine on Amazon. This is Mr. Moubarak's blogspot is https://timeforreflections.blogspot.com blogspot: Daily almost daily he posts some very interesting and thoughtful posts, please give him a visit

So I have finished the barrel from the class I took with Teresa Kogut in Blue Earth Minnesot, Welcome Stitchery put on the class, it was a blast.

I was able to construct it last Saturday, I love the fabric which is 40 count, I found it easy to use a magnifier to stitch it

This 1776 design is from Marly over at https://samplers-and-santas.blogspot.com, Marly has a few free designs for use, she did hers into a pillow which is lovely, please visit her site.

I decided to make this one a drum a tall skinny drum, I like the Scarlett House designs, I am not great at making drums just yet but each one is getting better

I also finished a very lovely bag that Toki sent me from Japan, I love this bag, it will hold some of my favorite stitching tools

This was so muc fun to stitch, I love all the different stitches used, thank-you from my heart Toki

I am starting to stitch Jolly Buttons a Christmas design by, Running with Needles and Scissors, I am having problems uploading the photo will have to post again after I figure out why I cannot upload the photo of the Jolly Buttons, by then I will have some stitching done on it.

We had hail last week, not real big but bigger then the last hailstorm, I am sure we need a new roof, the insurence company will not like us, last year we had to have some siding replaced due to hail, they even raised our rates 1000.00 dollars a year

I hope you all are well and enjoying your stitching

Happy Spring Almost Summer

Greetings my dear Friends: It has been very busy here, spring cleaning, gardening and many other things with graduations, anniversaries, summer parties and many hours spent reading and some stitching.

I am so happy to have the Teresa Kogut design barrel stitched, now I need to find the time to construct it, I really like the muted color threads, so soft looking, Teresa has an eye for color combinations.

This was from a class I took in Blue Earth Minn. in May with Welcome Stitchery, Teresa had a booth there also so you could buy some of her designs.

I am working on a sweet design that was gifted to me from Toki she is at https://watashigameganewokakerutoki.blogspot.com

This is a fun stitch

This is where I am today, almost finiashed

This was a gift from a sweet lady that works at Welcome Stitchery, her name is Kay, her two daughters were sitting at our table also, I forgot to post a photo in my last Blogpost of this beautiful bag

It has been raining here for a few days, the weather man says we will have rain for the next three + days, I do wish the sun would show it lovely face if for only a few hours, my plants are drowning just about.
I am not sure what my next project will be will post it when I decide

Have an amazing week

It Has Been Long Minute, Missing In Action with Spring Cleaning

I hope all is well with you all, so sorry I have not been in Blogland for almost two months, I am spring cleaning, gardening and planting, pruning and all the fun stuff this time of year.

I did get in some stitching, I finished the Lily's Chicken design from Teresa Kogut Patreon site, I am going to try and stitch it onto my white jean jacket, is it a good idea or nix that? maybe a few ideas from you all in Blogland.

I just love her so much, the chickens are a hoot

Thern I finished stitching a free design from Primrose Cottage Quilts and Stitches, this may not be available any longer, they do not keep their free designs on line very long, this will be a pillow for my basket.

Love the color of threads used, especially the white pumpkin

I had the privilege of going to the Welcome Stitchery Retreat on May 17th and 18th, it was a blast, Teresa Kogut and Chantelle from Chantells 141 Designs, what a fun time we had, I met the owner of Welcome Stitchery, Justine is a blast, her staff is so accommodating, the design from Teresa is a three part set

I have been stitching the Drum this past week, love drums for some reason, my progress, so far, the thread colors are a bit muted which I really like

So sorry for the wrinkles, this one is done on 40 county, I do not have a stretcher bar that small so have to do in hand

Chantelle gave us some amazing boards to finish with the designs from Teresa

And

And this adorable bag, with threads and needle

Nice assortment of threads

I fell in love with her wood designs and started following her on Patreon, she is an amazing designer of wood products

I did buy a little stash, not much I am trying to stitch from stash I already have

Love this design also

The Pony Black needles are amazing; they have a white top and silver bottom of the needle.

I just need to find a tin for this design

Some new fabric for Spring Easter and Valentine stitch designs for next year

Some clearance fabric yum

Some project cards, Welcome Stitchery always sends a project card with every order, I just wanted more for the designs I will be stitching from stash

There were so many fun gifts exchanged and given by welcome Stitchery

A fun Needlebook with Teresa Kogut fabric,

I do not want to make this a long post, will show you a few more things in my next post, I hope all is                                       well in your homes and you are getting loads of stitching done
